CANalyst-Ⅱ Application Profile

The CANalyst-Ⅱ application profile connects supported CANmeleon devices to dual-channel CAN 2.0 workflows that use the WinUSB driver, USB-CAN Tool, or ControlCAN API.

Install and switch the application

Use CANmeleon device manager to install, update, or switch this application profile. Actual availability depends on the device model, authorization state, and current application package.

Capabilities

• Two independent Classic CAN channels; CAN FD is not supported.
• Select the dual-channel USB-CAN2.0 device type in USB-CAN Tool.
• Use VCI_USBCAN2 (4) with ControlCAN. CANIndex values 0 and 1 select CAN1 and CAN2.
• Standard, extended, data, and remote frames are supported with up to 8 data bytes per frame.

Do not switch profiles by replacing DLL files

CANmeleon provides an application installation and switching workflow. Manually replacing ControlCAN.dll can leave the library version out of sync with the active device profile and makes deployments harder to maintain.
