Kvaser Leaf Firmware
The Kvaser Leaf firmware lets supported CANmeleon devices operate in a Kvaser Leaf-compatible mode for CAN 2.0 projects using Kvaser drivers, CanKing, or CANlib.
Install or switch firmware
Use CANmeleon device manager to install, update, or switch this firmware. The linked platform guide is maintained in Chinese by Kunhong.
Software and Drivers
| Item | Typical use | Official source | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| CanKing 7 | CAN traffic, monitoring, and validation | Kvaser downloads | Use this profile as a classic CAN device |
| EcuBus-Pro | ECU communication, diagnostics, recording, and automation | EcuBus-Pro installation | Select a Kvaser device path; see the quick start |
| Windows driver | Device access for CanKing and CANlib | Kvaser Drivers for Windows | Check the vendor release notes for supported Windows versions |
| Linux driver or SocketCAN | Linux device access | Kvaser Linux Drivers and SDK | Verify whether the selected device path uses SocketCAN or the proprietary SDK |
Development
Use the Kvaser CANlib SDK documentation for C/C++, C#, .NET, Delphi, Visual Basic, Python, and the other bindings supplied by Kvaser. Python automation through python-can or the Kvaser CANlib wrapper still requires the corresponding driver and runtime.
This page describes the firmware workflow, not universal interoperability. Include the hardware model, firmware version, driver, OS, software version, tested functions, limitations, and date in any compatibility report.
